The Prodigy Yoga Rig is a portable, height-adjustable A-frame designed primarily for aerial yoga but suitable for conditioning and basic moves. We recommend using this rig at it's full 2.9m height for silks.

Though you won't be able to use the silks at their full potential on this rig, it is still a great option for non dynamic practice.

There are a couple of ways to attach silks to this rig. One using a swivel and one without.

Option 1: No swivel or hardware.

The first and most simple option is to tie your silks directly to the top bar of the rig. This may seem incorrect however, it is much the same as tying them to a fabric bell or hook.

How to rig

  1. Assemble the Prodigy Yoga Rig - Follow the manufacturer’s instructions to set up the rig.
  2. Gather your silks - We recommend 8-10m for this rig. Find the centre point of the silks
  3. Tie the silks to the bar - Use a clove hitch to attach the silks to the top bar of the rig

Option 2: Using a Figure 8 and swivel. Use this method if you want to spin.

  1. Assemble the Prodigy Yoga Rig - Follow the manufacturer’s instructions to set up the rig.
  2. Create your anchor point - Choke one 30cm Prodigy Aerial Sling around the top bar of the Yoga Rig.
  3. Attach a carabiner to the sling
  4. Attach swivel to the carabiner
  5. Attach second carabiner to the swivel
  6. Attach Silks to Figure 8

7. Attach Figure 8 to carabiner

Height saving tips:

Attach a Petzl Open Swivel between the sling and figure 8 in place of 2x carabiners and a swivel.

Tips for safe practice

  • Place a Crash Mat: Position a thick (20cm) crash mat under the hoop to cushion potential falls.
  • Test Load: The rig’s WLL (230 kg) supports low-level dynamic loading. Avoid dynamic moves (e.g., drops or swings) as the rig is not designed for high dynamic forces.
  • Supervision: Never train alone. Have a spotter or instructor present.
  • Regular Inspection: Check all equipment for wear before each use, including slings, carabiners, and the hoop.
