Having used the Firetoys tabless aerial hoop for the last six months, I am extremely impressed with this piece of equipment. The hoop is made from high quality steel, features a powder coated finish and is still light enough to transport easily. The movement both spinning and static is great because of the weight, sizing is true to form and the kit feels robust. I would highly recommend this great piece of kit.
FAQ
Are your hoops hollow or solid?
All of our aerial hoops are made from hollow steel tubing. We do not have any solid hoops at this time.
What is the diameter of the bar?
The bar is 1" (25mm) with a 3mm wall.
Do I need to tape my hoop?
You do not need to tape the hoop however many people prefer their hoops taped for added grip and comfort.
Which tab option should I choose?
A 1 point or 0 point are the most popular choices. Pick a 0 point if you prefer having no tab at the top for comfort, or if you'd like to experiment with different set ups.
A 2 point hoop will feel and behave differently and also require a little more height to rig than 1 or 0 point.
Are your hoops matte or glossy?
The standard black hoops are a matte finish, while the specialist colours feature a glossier lacquer finish.

I love the table as Lyra more than the one I have with a tab. Firetoys was great at getting it to me on time and in great condition. I will say I don’t like the material they use to wrap the Lyra and I would’ve been willing to pay the cost difference in tape to get it wrapped in the one I like.

I love the tabless hoop because of all the different configurations you can do with it as well as playing on the spanset without worrying about pinching yourself on any kind of clip. I do wish it came in plain stainless steel, as I don't wrap mine and the coating isn't my favorite
I've purchased my hoop a while back, and am very glad I went with tabless option. Allows for freedom of rigging the hoop and I am very glad this option is available to buy from Firetoys. It arrived well packed. I'm very happy to be able to use a hoop that is the correct size for me (the studio's hoops are too small and too big for me).
Bought this to replace a very old one point - fantastic. Lighter weight than I'm use to but hard wearing and came with care instructions. Very versatile hoop that can be adapted for many tricks.Put to great use already!

This hoop is made with wonderful quality materials! Initially, I tried to use this hoop with tape, but I ended up removing the tape after a couple of weeks. My only complaint is that when using this hoop without tape, the spanset slips and rolls the hoop more to one side during certain moves (such as arabesque or a side mount). The lyra without the tape allows for much smoother transitions though! I can switch moves quickly and almost effortlessly. Also, it will take some getting used to when I try to do topbar moves with a double point rigging method because the hoop flips upwards way more than I am familiar with from single point rigging systems. The shipping was incredibly fast and I had no problems with my order whatsoever.
Reply from Firetoys: to stop the hoop slipping without there are a couple of options which can be used in combination, too! Tape the hoop where you are choking the strop onto the hoop. A full round turn, or double wrap, will give the strop more grip and prevent slipping.

Having used this hoop on a number of our photoshoots and videoshoots - it has been really put to the test with a number of different aerialists over a series of months and its still looking as new. Great for studio use or performance use - I would highly recommend this great piece of kit to all Spin City Instructors.
