50mm - The 50mm wick is ideal for small to medium fire toys or those requiring a small sized flame with a medium burn time. These props include most Henry's equipment, fire torches, fire poi, fire devilsticks, short staffs and swing torches.

Thickness: 2.2 to 2.7 mm

Long Lasting

Our wick does not contain dangerous copper mesh and is as resistant, if not more so, than wick that does. The weave itself has been developed to minimise fraying and extend the life time of fire wick. If used properly this wick should last you several hundred burns if not more.

Customers praised this fire wick for its excellent quality, durability, and value. Shoppers noted it "burns for ages," holds fuel well, and is easy to work with for making fire poi, staffs, clubs, and hoops. The varying widths and lengths available were appreciated. Fast delivery and competitive pricing were highlighted.

Best wick for dollar on the internet

What can I say, this wick is great! My brother and I used it to make two sets of fire poi, and the 3" width allows you to swing around quite a large fireball. Will be purchasing some of the 2-1/2" wick in the future to make a more manageable set. I haven't noticed it degrading much after ~15 burns, but time will tell. Helps that this wick is some of the more reasonably priced stuff on the net :)

Great Wick for the Price!

This is Great Wick for the Price! I've used this stuff for a number of props and it is durable and holds a good amount of fuel. I like the marker thread too, as it makes it easier to keep track of which side to start knots and braids with.

Overall a great product!

I bought 2m of the 80mm wick for making a firestaff.
80 mm is a good width, and with 90cm on each end it gives a good long burn and good weight when spinning. My staff is 155cm and the kevlar gives a really good weight for spinning and throwing.
Easy to work with, and easy to fit on the staff.
Overall I am really happy with the product and will definitely get some more if i'm making a new staff!

Excellent for what Iwanted it for.

I purchased the fire wick not for the purpose it was designed, but to use as a long-lasting wick in a home-made alcohol (meths) lightweight camping stove.
The alternative was to try to obtain from USA some carbon felt and it is exorbitantly expensive to get shipped to UK.
The fire wick does the job perfectly although I had to trim it to 40mm which was not the easiest job in the world, but I managed eventually.
Service and delivery were exceptionally good and if I ever need more I will certainly use this product again.

Great Fire Wick

Very pleased with the 50mm Fire Wick! Making my own juggling clubs worked great! The wick was a couple of inches longer than described so when I cut it to make 3 juggling clubs it worked perfectly. I drilled through the wick and then used screws to secure it to the club shaft. The wick is very sturdy and did not fray at all. I am using kerosene and get a very good burn time.
To be honest I was slightly concerned about length of time to receive the item as I am in the States but I received it in 3 days!! I will be ordering from Firetoys for all my fire needs.
