The Book of Staff Spinning by Johnathan Reynolds
The Book of Staff Spinning by Johnathan Reynolds is an excellent text for both those completely new to staff spinning and intermediate spinners.
It covers fundamental basics such as one-beats and figure 8s and progresses through tricks in a logical fashion, until you're dipping your toes into the murky waters of contact staff. There is also a section on double staff before the appendices inform you of everything from a staff's anatomy to group choreography.
Here's what the blurb says:
"This book contains over 50 base moves with ideas for hundreds of variations and combinations all shown with over 300 illustrations with detailed instructions.
Additionally it includes information on equipment, choreography, fire spinning, safety, fuels and first aid.
Once you've completed this book you will be a master staff spinner capable of spinning double fire staffs and impressively performing in front of audiences."
112 pages with illustrations.
