Fire Meteor Poi are an intriguing prop. Combining elements of poi, staff and club swinging they pose an interesting challenge to any fire spinner.
Fire Meteor Poi are a tricky but hugely rewarding and versatile prop. Spinners of staff and poi, and also club swingers can transfer some of their skills to the meteor making the meteor a good way to diversify and broaden your performances or spinning time.
The trick is to balance the momentum of the meteor so it will spin like a staff but you can also take two handholds some way from the centre of the chain and use a meteor like poi. And if you've got the skills you can even apply contact techniques to the meteor (check the video below).
