Coloured Contact juggling ball with protective bag
These coloured translucent acrylic contact juggling balls are made to a very high standard. The coloured pigment is perfectly diffused throughout the ball in order to maintain the illusion of the ball floating around, not rolling.
Coloured acrylic contact balls let slightly more light through than their polycarbonate counterparts meaning they look even better in the sunshine or under stage lights and this subtle difference is reflected in the price.
WHAT SIZE TO CHOOSE
SINGLE BALL CONTACT JUGGLING: As a general rule, the smaller the contact ball, the smaller the contact surface area and therefore the harder it is to control. Similarly, the larger the ball, the easier it is to balance. So for single ball contact juggling a larger ball is generally preferred - anything from a 75mm ball upwards, depending on personal preference.
MULTI-BALL CONTACT JUGGLING: If you are interested in manipulating any more than two balls, then the above rule is inversed: the smaller the ball, the easier it is to control multiples of them. We would not recommend going for anything larger than a 75mm ball, especially if you are learning multiball contact juggling. The 65mm and 70mm balls are the most popular for multi ball, but again, exactly what size to choose comes down to personal preference and the size of your hands.
As you may have noticed, the 75mm ball is a good all-rounder; it's big enough to learn on and light enough for precise movements. The 75mm ball can be used as a single ball or in multiball work, but learning to palm spin with any more than two 75mm balls in one hand starts to become awkward.
