An amazing circus and juggling festival in New Zealand
Circulation is a fire arts, circus skills, and performance festival, held just outside Dunedin.
Circulation Festival began as the ambitious dream of Dan Hendra, realised with the help of the Ōtepoti fire and circus community in late 2008. Dan’s dream was to create an intimate community-based festival that allowed people to share skills and knowledge as well laugh, play and have loads of fun together.
Since then Circulation has grown into a festival with just these qualities and many more – it now boasts over 200 workshops over the four days, live music and djs, stand up comedy shows, kids zones and games, amazingly tasty catered food, and numerous fun activities such as the giant slip and slide, an afternoon of kitsch games, a pub quiz minus the pub, a sweat lodge, a giant foot bath, and the list goes on!
The festival is run by the community for the community and all profits made go directly towards improving future Circulation Festivals.
