Bungay Balls up is a relaxing, 10-day juggling convention held over the spring bank holiday in Suffolk.
Bungay Balls Up is a laid-back juggling convention in the heart of rural Suffolk. The ethos of BBU is for jugglers to have a long relaxing holiday to enjoy in as many ways as they want to.
How you define "relaxing" is up to you: if you want to juggle all day and all night, then no problem, we have a lit 24-hour juggling big top for you.
There are also traditionally a wealth of different activities and games played throughout the 10 days of BBU. You will find table-tennis, croquet, cribbage, scrabble, volleyclub, poker - all of which may well have some form of tournament running at some point in the week - plus a wealth of other board games to play and learn.
We have on-site catering and a café tent in which you can sit, eat, play games and socialise with friends, both old and new! At night, there's also a wood-burner to enjoy.
Hulver Farm's buttercup field also provides an ample and lovely space for kite flying, kuub, model aeroplane flying, sunbathing, camp-cooking, and, if they're up and running, hot-tubbing and sauna-ing.
Should you wish to vary your week, there are lots of local attractions just a short drive away. St Peter's brewery is a popular spot, as is a visit to the sea-side at nearby Southwold.
On our second Saturday we run the show, which is put together from convention-goers who have some kind of skill or talent to show off. Of course, there is juggling in its many forms, but our show has in the past also included music, comedy, poetry, a slide-show, or even an X-factor competition! Expect the unexpected, and don't be scared to join in. (We're a lovely audience.)
