Sock Poi

Sock poi are an extremely popular variety of poi. They are great for both beginner and super advanced spinners. They may not look quite as nice a tail poi but they are much more versatile as there are no tails to get tangled and hyperloops and other tricks are much easier to perform. They also offer great value – they are durable and you can add your own weights resulting in a long-lasting, cheap set of poi.

Sock poi, as the name suggests, are poi made from long socks. The sock poi we stock have been designed specifically for use as poi. They have no heel a have been sewn into an ergonomic tapered shape.

They come supplied empty and you will need to add some end weights to them. You can use tennis balls, juggling balls or whatever you like really to get the weight perfect for you. You can even add smaller counterweights at the handle end to make good hand holds and to make throws and moves like wibbles easier.

Many of the socks we stock are UV active so look great under black light or in the ambient UV of dusk.

Sock poi are great for children’s circus skills workshops as they are easy to use, inexpensive and hard wearing.
