Spinning

The ‘spinning’ category consists mainly of poi and staffs but you’ll also be able to find meteors, spinning plates, twirling ribbons, spinning balls, juggling cubes and rhythmic gymnastics balls in this section. As always, you can expect only props from the best manufacturers on our shelves. We make all our own fire poi and fire staffs but we also stock Erik’s, Flames n Games, Gora, Flowtoys and Home of Poi props.

Poi, a.k.a. pois, kiwido or bolas in France, are basically balls in cord that are spun in a variety of patterns. You can find practise poi, sock poi, flag poi, contact poi, fire poi and glow poi here. We also have books and DVDs to teach you how to do poi.

Staff spinning or twirling is getting more and more popular. Whether you want to do contact fire staff, double staff, staff juggling, play with s-staffs (Buugeng), try to tame a Dragon staff (fei cha) or just spin normally you can find the right equipment here. We also have fire staff tutorials in books and DVDs from great teachers like MCP and the Vulcan Crew.

Firetoys also has the largest range of Flowtoys in the UK. Flowtoys make innovative glow poi, staffs, juggling clubs, rope darts and nunchaku. These LED glow props are bright, programmable and feature interchangeable parts.

This is also the section to find spare or replacement para-aramid fibre fire wick and fire rope. You can use these to repair your fire staff or poi or even make your own fire props.
