I've been a fire performer for about 12 years now, I started out with homemade equipment as juggling gear wasn't readily available where I lived and buying online at the time was still a relatively new idea. The guy that introduced me to devilsticks always said he liked Radical Fish sticks and recommended them highly. When the time came for me to buy a proper Devilstick I ordered a few different types to see which one I liked best. My friend was right: Radical Fish do make amazingly great sticks.
After all these years I still swear by Radical Fish Devilsticks. Opening the packaging, they look beautiful and shiny - so much so I almost feel guilty lighting them up the first time. Even without lighting them they look dazzling under lights or on a bright day. Once they're lit up, thanks to the large wicks they look even more impressive. The shiny foil does tend to mean they can get a little slippy so your control has to be pretty sharp but if you're using a fire stick then it should be. The wicks, when maintained properly, last forever, i usually get about 400+ hours before having to replace them. The core stick is lovely too, good and solid, no "bounce" to it and the taper i angled just right in my opinion. All in all a well built package great for anyone from a pro to a relative beginner.
