This giraffe unicycle can be extended from 5 feet tall to 7 feet tall and is designed to be tough enough for performing. It can be rapidly dismantled for ease of transportation. The Nimbus Performer Giraffe unicycle can be disassembled into four sections which fit into an ordinary suitcase, 26x20x7" (65x50x18cm) - ideal for travelling performers. 

At seven feet tall, this really is a spectacular machine.  Once you overcome the nerves of mounting a unicycle considerably taller than you, the ride is surprisingly easy.  The great height gives you much improved stability and more time to correct yourself - in the same way that balancing a broom handle vertically on your finger is easier than balancing a pencil.  

We certainly wouldn't recommend this to anyone but well experienced unicycle riders since you do have a very long way to fall! However, if you are a proficient unicyclist and are confident that you can always perform controlled feet-first dismounts, this unicycle will impress absolutely everyone who sees you ride it.

This giraffe unicycle comes with two sets of chains and an extra frame section with quick-release to convert it from a 5 foot to a 7 foot giraffe in minutes. To extend from 5' to 7' the quick-release between the pedals and the wheel is undone and the chains removed; an extra section of frame is inserted and the longer chains fitted. The frame sections slot together so that they will not twist nor move independently of each other. 

The Nimbus Performer Giraffe Unicycle has large sprockets to reduce chain and cog wear. The upper sprockets have chain-guards.

The quality chain tensioner allows you to keep the chain settings between dismantling and the specially designed hub uses a 5-bolt mounting system to securely hold the sprockets in place on both sides, this also allows minute adjustment to chain tension. 

The double chain design equalises tension on the wheel - single chain giraffes can pull the wheel out of alignment with the frame. Two chains make the unicycle much stronger.

The tyre on this unicycle is a Kenda Kikzumbut 20 x 1.95" tyre.

Fits leg sizes 32" (81cm) to 40" (102cm) (this is inside leg length from crotch to floor). Seatpost can be cut down for 30½" (77cm). For longer or shorter inside leg lengths you can buy different length seat posts.
