Quick overview

A programmable LED glow 100mm stage ball. The All Light LED unit has 27 modes including strobe patterns.

Product details

These LED glow contact juggling balls consist of a silicone feel glow stage ball made from the same outer material as our 70mm glow balls but hollow and a bright LED unit.

This ball is good for contact juggling, particularly body rolling moves, and is relatively evenly weighted ball with a smooth surface.

This programmable LED unit is designed and made in Canada is the first affordable light unit that allows the user to choose between static colours and patterns at a touch of a button.

The colour and brightness are comparable to the other, single colour LED units so you can expect an evenly dispersed bright light for 3-8 hours before replacing the watch batteries (3 x L1142). However, the LED unit will start to fade after about four hours.

What makes these so fun to play with is the sheer number of patterns on offer (28 in total!) after a bit of playing around you do start to get the hang of how to control them but be warned they are not the most user friendly or intuative to control (don't loose the instruction sheet it comes in really handy!).

Take a look at the supersize image to see all the modes / patterns. The colored circles in the illustration accurately represent the All Light's color tracers in a circular motion.

MODE A = 7 Solid Colours
MODE B = 7 Multi-coloured patterns with selectable blinking speeds
MODE C = 13 patterns that exchange/alternate/burst colors and a fade pattern that can be from on any colour.

How it Works
27 patterns are located within 3 modes (ABC). Accessing and controlling them is done by pressing the button located in the middle of the cap. Pressing twice changes patterns, pressing once will control a patterns effects, like colour and/or blinking speed. Pressing three times shuts it off and the next time you press once brings it back to Mode A.

The LED unit takes 3 x L1142 batteries which are supplied with the glow contact ball. Battery life is approximately 3 to 5 hours of bright glow then the LEDs begin to fade. They will last several more hours but will get progressively duller and duller. Additional batteries can be purchased from our website at great prices.

Too fiddly and complex Review by Tim Clark , 02/04/2012

I like the idea of these balls but they are not user friendly. Its very hard to get the same setting on 3 balls and you quickly get very annoyed at the little button. I've got the basic on/off ones which are much better ajnd cheaper.
Review of both the 100mm and 70mm All Light balls Review by crazyballs , 07/12/2011

Have been using the 70mm All Light balls for over a year now and all i can say is what great balls!! They have a perfect weight and fly steadily through the air with a slightly squidgy and grippy exterior. In total you can make tons of various visual effects with the strobe settings although i will warn you keeping them on strobe will kill the batteries quicker. Saying that I usually take 1 set of batteries (if using 3 that's 9 in total) for 1 night, however as my nights generally last several days having a few spare aint that bad of an idea. Fire toys do a great deal on the LR43 batteries (10 for £2) so that's £2 a night not bad if you're getting free entry for just having them on you. Oh and buy your batteries in bulk to save on postage.

There are a couple things you need to now about these balls as well, although they're definitely not a show stopper... firstly the interior lighting mechanism is fragile... do take care of them, the little metal connectors can/will snap and sometimes fall out of place so check every time you replace into the ball, and don't screw in the lid too tight. Also make sure you switch them off if you're not using them properly - i have found the units can overheat and drain the batteries even quicker leaving the ball in a hazy looking dying red glow.

The 100mm balls are just as great as the 70mm balls. They aren't filled with the same plastic beads as the 70mm ball to keep the brightness up but the weight and feel of them is great for a step up from a practice contact ball. Plus you don't have to worry about dropping a a hefty 100mm acrylic ball on anyone's toes or more importantly a hard dance floor/surface and then spend 10 minutes crawling around the floor looking for it just to find a massive crack in the side! Can also be used as larger stage juggling balls although i haven't had a proper go at this yet.

Happy Juggling!!
