Fire Fans

Fire and fans are some of the most common fire dancing props. Fans come in pairs and tend to have between three and five burners and look beautiful when manipulated by a single person but combine two or more dancers with fans and some spectacular effects can be created. There is also an increasingly technical aspect to fire fan spinning with isolation and antispin techniques being applied to great effect.

Fire fans come in either solid or folding varieties and we stock both. There are pros and cons to each type but whatever you choose you’ll be getting quality equipment at a great price.

Folding fans: these fans have five arms with burners on each end. The arms can be folded in together to the width of just a single arm. This makes them very easy to transport but also allows you to perform moves where the arms dramatically flick out and back in again. We’ve designed our folding fire fans to create a full circle when fully open and held together to aid isolations and other patterns.

Solid fire fans are less portable than folding ones but they are sturdier as they’re made from steel that has been welded into position. They are also, arguably, better looking. We stock three varieties for this type of fan to suit all budgets and styles. All have rings at the handle to allow finger spins – something that folding fans lack.
