Aerial, Silks and Trapeze Media

Learn the trapeze, aerial ring (lyra), free rope, aerial silk (fabric/tissus) or aerial yoga with the aid of one of our high quality, illustrated instructional books or DVDs. These media all contain expertly taught lessons, tutorials and guides on how to do a whole variety of aerial acrobatic moves and sequences. They cover all levels of ability from beginner, through intermediate and right into the expert or advanced realms. All are clearly illustrated, describing the moves visually as well as through text.

Some of the most popular books are by the French aerial artist Yvette Challande. These books are in French but the tutorials consist solely of clear diagrams that guide you step by step through each move and technique. These books cover trapeze, double trapeze, aerial fabric and rope, and aerial hoop (also known as lyra).

Rebekah Leach also has a fantastic range of instructional books which focus on aerial silks and fabric. She has written books specifically for beginners and intermediate aerial artists with the latter coming in two parts. All of which adds up to an extremely comprehensive guide on how to learn tissus. Rebekah has also written a couple of books on aerial yoga – an increasingly popular combination of yoga and silks. All her books are clearly illustrated with colour or black and white photos.
